Booking Details

  • Do I have to pay the full amount when I book ?
  • For bookings more than 8 weeks ahead  A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. We are unable to hold any reservation without a deposit. The balance for your booking must be paid 8 weeks prior to your arrival. This can be paid by either visiting the guest portal which you will have received details of when you originally booked or by calling 01754 820053

     

    Bookings less than 8 weeks ahead  Full payment is required at the time of making the booking. This can either be done online when booking or by calling 01754 820053.

     

    Payment confirmation  We will send you, via email, a confirmation showing the price for your break and any additional charges. It will also detail payments received and due. Please check the details on the confirmation carefully. If any of the details are incorrect, or change, you must inform us as soon as possible. You must also ensure that you pay any amount required in accordance with the confirmation payment schedule. If you do not, we will have the right to cancel your booking.

  • What if I need to change the dates of my booking ?
  • You may change your booking with us for any reason provided the change is made 8 weeks or more before your start date. This is subject to availability and an amendment charge is applicable to cover our administration costs.  Please note that any change of date, will be likely to involve a change in price of your break, and the relevant amendment charge being added. 

  • What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
  • When making a booking with us we recommend you take out separate holiday insurance to cover you in the event that you need to cancel your break.

    If your break is more than 8 weeks away we will refund your deposit less an administration fee of £50.00

    If your break is less than 8 weeks away your 50% deposit is non refundable

    If your break is less than 6 weeks away 75% of the cost of your break is non refundable

    If your break is less than 4 weeks away 100% of the cost of your break is non refundable.

  • Do you allow pets ?
  • Yes we allow pets in Sycamore Cottage, Maple, Chestnut, Elm & Oak Lodge. There is a charge of £30 and we allow a maximum of 2 pets. To view please see here - Pet Friendly Accommodation  Please note we do not allow pets in any of our other properties not mentioned above.

Arriving at Mill Farm

  • What time can I check in ?
  • Check in time is 4pm. Please try not to arrive earlier — we will still be busy preparing your accommodation, and wont be available to welcome you.

  • Do you offer an early check in ?
  • Yes we do offer an early check in, for which there is a small charge payable, but this will ensure your Cottage/Lodge is serviced first ensuring you can then check in at 2pm. You will need to add this when making your booking.

  • What do I need to bring with me for checking in ?
  • Please bring your booking confirmation with you which you will have received when you booked. If you do forget to bring it we can still find you under the name that was used to book and confirm your booking by verifying your personal details.

  • What is the address for Mill Farm ?
  • Our full address is, Mill Farm Leisure, Wrangle Bank, Wrangle, Boston PE22 9DT. Using the postcode in your satnav will bring you direct to the entrance. To find us using what3words please click Here.

Your accommodation

  • Do I need to bring towels or bedding with me ?
  • All beds will be made up ready for when you arrive, we also supply 1 bath sheet and 1 hand towel per person, so we do advise that if you are staying for a week you may want to bring more towels with you. We are also able to supply extra towels for use upon request for a small charge.

  • Do you supply cots ?
  • Yes we are able to provide a cot in your cottage or lodge free of charge, however you will need to bring your own bedding for it. If you do require a cot please mention this when booking.

  • Do you have wi-fi ?
  • Wifi internet is provided free of charge on site although the service is not guaranteed, with Mill Farm being in a rural area the speed is not the best, so we do advise that if it is essential you have internet access during your stay that you bring your own 4g enabled device.

    Wifi is currently not available at  — Maple Lodge, Chestnut LodgeWalnut Lodge & Ivy Lodge.

  • Are the hot tubs private ?
  • All of our Cottages & Lodges have private Hot tubs which are not overlooked, more information regarding the Hot tub can be found on each individual Cottage/Lodge page.

  • Do you supply a BBQ ?
  • Yes a BBQ can be requested for use during your stay, although you will need to bring your own coals as these are not supplied. Under no circumstances should disposable BBQs be used. You must use the designated BBQs we provide for safe grilling.

  • Which accommodation has a sauna ?
  • Willow Lodge is our exclusive accommodation equipped with its own sauna, providing a perfect relaxing retreat. Enjoy a soothing sauna experience amidst the tranquil settings of Mill Farm Leisure.

  • Do you have an electric vehicle (EV) charging point on your site?
  • No, our closest charging point is at the Old Leake Co Op which is located 3.4 miles away. Under no circumstances are you permitted to charge your vehicles from our cottages or lodges.

Fishing

  • Is the Fishing free ?
  • Fishing is free for our guests, and all of the Lakeside Lodges as well as Willow Lodge have their own private peg. If you are staying in one of our Cottages or Lodges that are not on the lake we do have extra pegs for you to use, although they are limited and we can not always guarantee more than one will be available if there are more than one person in your party fishing.

  • Can I night fish ?
  • No, Fishing is only permitted dawn till dusk.

  • Is the lake open to non guests ?
  • The lake is solely for use of our guests and we therefore do not allow day tickets.

  • I am staying in one of the cottages that's not on the lake, Can I fish ?
  • Yes, your welcome to fish the lake from one of the pegs which are for the sole use of our guests, but please do note that the pegs are limited and we can not always guarantee more than one will be available if there are more than one person in your party fishing.

  • Can I use a bite alarm ?
  • If you want to use a bite alarm then it must be a non audible type.

  • What baits can I use ?

Facilities

  • Do you have a shop on site ?
  • No we do not have a shop on site, there is a village shop which is 2 miles from Mill Farm

  • Are there any local Takeaways ?
  • We have our own onsite Takeaway Dennys which is open Thursday — Sunday 5.00pm till 8.30pm, and delivers to your door. There is also a Fish & Chip shop in the next village as well as an Indian takeaway which are collection only. You will find a menu for each in your Lodge/Cottage.

During your stay at Mill Farm

  • Where is the nearest town ?
  • Skegness or Boston are the nearest towns which are 12 miles from Mill Farm.

  • Where is the nearest Supermarket ?
  • There is a small Supermarket in the next Village of Old Leake, there are numerous large Supermarkets in either Skegness or Boston.

  • Are there any local restaurants or pubs ?
  • There are numerous local pubs & eateries, a full list of these are provided in your welcome book in your Cottage/Lodge.

  • How far is the beach from Mill Farm ?
  • The nearest beach would be in Skegness which is 12 miles from Mill Farm

Departure day

  • What time do I need to check out by ?
  • Check out is by 10am.

  • Do you offer a later check out ?
  • We are not currently able to offer a later check out.

  • Can I use the hot tub on check out day ?
  • Hot tubs are emptied starting at 8am on the day of your departure, but you are welcome to use them prior to this.
